Mechanical Engineering Teacher

Full time permanent

£18,555 – £35,304 per annum, dependent on experience/qualifications

A committed and dedicated person with experience of working in the Mechanical Engineering Industry is required to deliver Mechanical Engineering courses to NVQ Level 3 apprentices at South Staffordshire College.

The successful applicant will be required to prepare, deliver and assess various aspects of Mechanical Engineering programmes for apprentices studying on maintenance, manufacturing, fabrication & welding and Technical pathways.

The role will involve three days lecturing theory and practical PEO units to mechanical engineering apprentices who attend college on a day release basis.

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
*Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be working towards one (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed).
*Hold a minimum level 3 qualification in a related subject area.
*Have recent experience of the Mechanical Engineering curriculum
*A DBS Certificate that is on the update service, or be willing to apply for one

If you have assessor and/or verifier award this would be considered advantageous.
