My Stafford based client is recruiting for a network engineer to join them on a year long contract at a key point in one of their projects. The purpose of the role is to develop new methodology for how thenetwork topology should look like and to be a key part in improvement work regarding standard solutions and best practices. Skills and Responsibilities: - A key area will be working with the cyber security strategy for the clientssystem. - Work with customer requirement to build a design that can beimplemented and tested to ensure the client have captured all requirements for the network and communication part of theprojects. - Subnet mask, network design, STP, RST and FRNT will all be design protocols you will be using. - Protocols used IEC104, DNP3, Modbus. A move into 61850 will be ongoing and an opportunity for the right candidate to work with. - IP and Subnet Masking assignment. - Redundant design and protocols, STP, RST, FRNT. - Simple Network Design - Hardware - Copper Cat 5/6 - Fibre Multimode/Singlemode, SFP Transceivers, Wavelength. - Dynamic Routing using OSPF - Firewall - Whitelist vs. Blacklist - CCNA Certification Cat5/6, Fibre, SFP, ICMP, SNMP, OSPF, 104, DNP3 should all be on your CV and part of your expertise 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday Year long contract with a good chance of an extension Interviews will be taking place in the next week, the client is looking to get someone started in the next fewweeks' if possible.
