Location: Bromsgrove

Salary: £30,000- £40,000 +Commission + Company Car


First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Sales Manager on behalf of our clients.

In this role, you will drive sales growth of selected plating products and services, in line with sales strategy and plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Increase sales in assigned sector and accounts.

· Sales across the entire product and services portfolio.

· Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly targets.

· Negotiate pricing and contractual terms, ensuring optimum margins are achieved.

· Identify and cultivate new business prospects in existing, adjacent, and new market areas.

· Maintain and develop existing accounts, and key contact relationships, to optimise potential sales - through clear understanding of current and future requirements.

· Identify, establish and professionally promote the benefits and distinct competitive advantages offered.

· Proactively contact and qualify all significant quotes.

· Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.

· Act accountably and deal effectively with, and/or escalate, customer complaints and concerns.

· Independent diary management and appointment making.

· Identify new lead generation initiatives; including exhibitions, literature and customer seminars.

· Assist in developing Sales & Marketing strategy and plan for region.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Strong technical sales background with a minimum of 5 years' experience.

· Ideally with technical and commercial experience in a plating, surface treatment, or similar technical sales role.

· Technically competent with a good engineering background.

· Able to initiate, progress, and close business through relationship building and account management.

· Self-driven and motivated to proactively prospect and qualify new business opportunities.

· Ambitions to move into sales.

· Ideally with customer facing and commercial experience gained in technical support/pre-sales function.

· Demonstrable willingness and ability to learn and adopt new skills, processes and disciplines.

· Working knowledge of planning and prioritisation tools and techniques, and computer based record keeping.

· Good sales and business development background - with track record of effective prospecting.

· Proven track record of achieving results.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills.

· Strong commercial and technical skills.

· Commercial and contract negotiation ability.

· Ability to quickly build rapport with new people.

· Independent planning, self-organisation and prioritisation skills.
