This role will suit a candidate who has experience face to face meetings with prospect and existing clients across all levels of seniority; someone who is commercially aware and able to negotiate and close business deals. Ideally you will have an engineering or business degree and have great communication skills and able to manage a project from cradle to grave.
The Business Development consultant/commercial management consultant will be supporting the Director of the company's engineering consulting services.
You will be identifying and engaging with appropriate prospect clients for consulting business solutions.
You will work alongside clients to explore opportunities for their requirements and develop details of the project
Engage and work with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver the project of the client's requirements on time and in budget.
Support the generation of RFQ's responses where appropriate
Generate outline project plans, timelines and quotations
Organise meetings to progress prospect opportunities
Process development within the new department
Market research and analysis into industries for both current and prospective clients
Create take-to-market plans for future company products and to be used during client meetings
You will produce project reports for communicating project status and progress.
Develop genuine relationship and rapport with prospects and clients
To lead the delivery of and coordinate some of smaller client projects
Respond to prospect and client requests professionally and expediently
Be a key point of contact for the client/prospects
Work as integral part of project delivery team to manage expectations and challenges with the client
Organise Client meetings with appropriate preparation & professionalism
Raise and issue invoices in line with contract schedules
There will be some international travel with this role
Up to £26ph depending on experience
12 month rolling contract
Strong potential to go from temp to perm if wanted
The business development/commercial management consultant must have previous experience of managing supplier/client relationships
You will ideally be degree educated or equivalent
Must have strong project management experience - concept through to delivery
You will have worked within an OEM or Tier 1 supplier in a similar role
Experience in a design, engineering or manufacturing environment is essential
Must be commercially minded and able to negotiate and close deals
Must have a valid and in date passport
You will have strong interpersonal skills
This is a 12 month rolling contract position and is commutable from Leamington Spa, Worcester, Birmingham, Northampton, Oxford, Coventry, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire
