My client, a fast-growing and privately-owned global company specialising in commodities, agricultural businesses and energy, are establishing a new rapeseed processing business near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. The company has made a significant investment and has ambitious plans to launch and bring to market a range of innovative animal feed and edible oil products, for both wholesale and retail distribution to farmers, food manufacturers and retailers. They are looking to appoint an entrepreneurial, commercially focused, Marketing Manager to the business to develop an exciting UK brand presence and to evolve their product marketing strategies as the business grows. The Role The Marketing Manager will be responsible for all Marketing and PR activities, creating integrated campaigns in support of their business objectives. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to influence and shape the company's communications, ensuring that the brand story is consistent and engaging and that investment in promotional activities produces genuine business results. The successful candidate will have proven experience across the whole marketing mix, but marketing experience in food related industries, selling into the B2C retail space would be welcome. Key Responsibilities - Experience using project management tools, and creating project plans, reporting on outcomes and demonstrating clear and measurable business benefit - Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables - Ability to develop compelling and clear marketing and creative briefs and adept at building, designing and delivering presentations - Ability to assess next steps when receiving conflicting feedback or unclear direction from a variety of stakeholders - Develop and manage web-based assets and a social media presence for the UK business - Plan and manage events for customers and potential customers - Self-starter with the ability to work independently and to be comfortable with ambiguity - Strong business acumen and commercial appreciation to underpin and shape the creative output - Develop and manage the company's UK brands to deliver impact and revenue - Manage relationships with the media and other industry influencers, creating opportunities to raise their profile among a range of audiences - Develop a portfolio of well-written and informative content to support sales objectives, for example video, brochures, articles, blog posts - Manage relationships with suppliers, such as designers and other agencies Skills and Attributes for Success - Strong influencing and networking skills - Confident creative thinking - Excellent writing skills - Strong project management capabilities and experience of leading projects - Ability to work strategically, as well as operationally, with people at all levels of the business - Ability to understand and interpret commercial and technical product information To qualify for the Role, you must have - Previous experience in a marketing role, preferably in a FMCG or equivalent environment - Evidence of track record across the whole marketing mix - Sound understanding of how to create, launch and promote brands in support of business objectives - Experience of agency management - Excellent MS Office skills; experience of Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator or MS Publisher desirable - Degree qualified as a minimum, or equivalent, plus preferably with CIM or other Marketing professional accreditations
