A well-established supplier of aluminium and magnesium castings for the aerospace and defence industries who have been established for over 40 years are currently looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their in house quality function.
Suitable for: Quality Engineer, Quality Technician, Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer
The Quality Engineer will be required to ensure customer quality requirements are maintained throughout production life.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage customer complaints and returns
Manage the company non-conformance database
Lead problem solving activities utilising industry standard methodologies such as 8D, 5why, 3C, DMAIC, Ishikawa fish bone diagrams and FMEA's
Conducting internal audits and support with customer, ISO & NADCAP audits
Develop procedures in line with customer, ISO & NADCAP expectations
The successful candidate for the Quality Engineers position will have the following:
2 - 3 years Quality Engineering experience - ESSENTIAL
Experience of working within an automotive environment - DESIRABLE
Knowledge of working with TS16949, ISO and NADCAP standards - ESSENTIAL
PPAP's, FMEA's, control plans, auditing and implementing corrective and preventative actions - ESSENTIAL
Experience is dealing/visiting supplier and customer sites - Essential
Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word - ESSENTIAL
