Marketing Ability and Interest is Essential

Our client is an internationally renowned organisation who offer a fantastic career. Working as part of the Building Services Business Development Team, your role will be to lead on the production, updating and review of the project and capability material, brochures, presentation information and other relevant marketing information.

The role would also include supporting the preparation of prequalification questionnaires (PQQs),bid and tender submissions and in the provision of administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the production and updating / maintaining of the following to include:

  • Project capability material including photos
  • Staff CV's
  • Brochures and marketing literature
  • Presentation material such as PowerPoint presentations for, project specific bids
  • Maintaining an effective archive/filing structure for past submissions (bid library/model answers)

Assist in the preparation of prequalification documents and tender submissions including:

  • Working alongside the BD team to ensure the successful, timely completion of PQQs and tenders
  • Maintaining registrations with appropriate authorities/bodies to ensure receipt of relevant EOIs, PQQs and Tender notifications
  • Liaising with the central business development team when necessary and appropriate
  • Completing the required documentation (with input from various sources) and ensuring submission within the required timescales
  • Maintaining quality management documentation for all processes
  • Ensuring submissions reflect our business experience and skills and review to continually improve
  • Supporting teams in their business development activity
  • Coordinating and disseminating of inter-company business information

Essential Experience/Skills

You will be expected to have:

  • Excellent written English with similar copy-writing skills
  • Strong IT skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, Desktop Publishing and In Design
  • An ability to prioritise work, be comfortable with working to tight deadlines, tenacious and enthusiastic
  • Able to turn 'raw information' provided from staff and knowledge experts into superbly articulated proposal content
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and able to manage large amounts of data, making it useful for others to use
  • Excellent communication skills to work closely with colleagues at all levels of seniority to obtain information, take instruction, seek expertise and chase deadlines
  • Demonstrate high standards and accuracy in all areas of work
  • Respond flexibly to short notice tasks and work flexibly with others
  • Good client relationship skills
  • The ability to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information
  • The ability to work under direction but to be able to use their own initiative when required
  • Some flexibility in working hours/lunchtimes
  • Some knowledge of the consultancy, outsourcing or construction sector would be advantageous
  • An interest in learning about the construction industry
  • An enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to the successes and development of the work winning team
  • The successful candidate will need to have good communication skills and have the ability to work in a busy environment as a member of a team
