We are recruiting for a world leading, automotive company where career development opportunities are unparalleled. Their growth over the past 5 years has been unmatched and this growth shows no sign of slowing. They are continuing to invest, expand and develop new and exciting products. They are now seeking to increase their permanent head count and this is where you fit in.

What you will be doing:

* The Suspension System Architecture (SSA) team is responsible for the design, analysis, and release of vehicle chassis structural components including suspension links, knuckles, bearings, bushes, and frames. This includes developing and implementing system and component strategies and developing detailed designs that meet these strategies and customer requirements.
* Frames and structures attract significant piece and investment costs, long lead times, and they also have significant contribution to the overall vehicle performance with regard to durability, weight, NVH, dynamics, and safety. The delivery of these components and systems is therefore an essential element in implementing successful and profitable programmes.
* Subframes Engineering is undergoing significant growth and the company is now building an organisation to support a world-class competitive and sustainable business. Taking on the role of our new Lead Engineer, you'll be part of this exciting process. As such, you'll be responsible for the design and development of subframe-associated components on a given platform from concept into production, with both platform and lead engineer responsibilities.
* You'll lead a small team of engineers in achieving targets for component and system cost, weight, and function into the programme team. As well as making the design and tooling releases to suppliers, you'll handle supplier relationships and take ownership of components from concept to production.

What we expect from you:

* You'll need proven problem-solving skills and experience in 3D component design including aluminium and steel components. In addition, you'll be able to demonstrate effective team and project management skills along with experience of managing the delivery of multiple projects to tight deadlines.
* Knowledgeable about chassis suspension, you'll have previously led the resolution of business as well as technical and process issues within a project team environment

Benefits:

* Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you'll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and a performance-related bonus scheme
