My client produces machine vision inspection equipment for the Automotive, Metals, Plastics, Printing and Semiconductor markets. Headquartered in Germany, they have offices in Europe, Asia and the US - and are now looking to extend their presence in the UK.

One of the profiles they're looking to appoint is a Global Key Account/ Sales Manager who will have two main responsibilities. One will be to assume full accountability over 2 automotive customers with worldwide sites, and the other is to push for new UK business in both the automotive and metals market.

This position will operate from a home office, ideally in the Midlands. It will also require international travel, so applicants must be happy to spend time flying in to Europe and occasionally further afield.

The successful candidate will have:

- A technical degree (in electronics/ mechanical engineering, robotics or similar)
- A track record selling capital equipment in to the automation or metrology/ measurement markets
- Knowledge of automotive production/ assembly requirements
- A customer network in automotive and/ or metals
- The willingness to travel domestically and internationally
