Business Development / Relationship Manager
Our client is one of the worlds largest P & C Insurer's and has a prestigious reputation across the UK insurance market,considered as an Employer of choice for ambitious and forward thinking candidates.
We are recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to work from our clients branch in Birmingham, servicing the Midlands.
You will be responsible for a panel of key brokers and charged with developing pipeline business in Commercial Insurance lines (mainly P & C), servicing the Broker accounts and ensuring that strong business relationships are nurtured and secured. The role will involve prospecting for New Business (within our clients business appetite rules) and managing existing business. The focus will be on relationship management, therefore we are looking for established individuals with a natural flair for development and relationship management from a commercial insurance background. You will be supported by a technical team of Underwriters.
Interested candidates must have the following:
A proven Business Development background from an Insurer or Commercial / Corporate Broker
Ability to adapt and succeed in a challenging market place
Ability to work towards targets
Build strong internal and external business relationships
Strong Market knowledge of the Insurance marketplace
Able to identify cross selling opportunities and act upon such opportunties
Able to host and arrange corporate gatherings with clients
Working towards ACII or other Industry accredited qualifications
