A good client side opportunity has arisen for this Property Company for a MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor. They have a varied portfolio including offices, industrial, retail, business parks and leisure. This opportunity presents a very interesting portfolio and will include some really good projects that will be challenging, but very rewarding. There are a couple of projects that require immediate attention in offices and a mixed use building, and other industrial projects that need to be completed in the near future Your workload will have a huge variety and will cover projects from end to end so it could be anything from CAD design work to small scale maintenance projects right through to contract administration on projects up to £1 million in value. No day will ever be the same and you will have a huge amount of variety in the role. As a general rule the smaller projects you would run yourself where on the bigger jobs you will use outside consultants and oversee the project as PM. They also outsource a large proportion of their professional work, but you will still do some yourself on occasion. In addition to your Building Surveying work you will also work closely with the Asset Managers, Facilities Managers and also communicate with the occupiers so you will need an ability to be able to put yourself in other peoples shoes and think of their perspective when looking at a project. The company enjoys a flat structure and therefore you will have an input and have to report up to the board on your projects which you will be in complete control of.
