We are looking for an Account Director to continue leading Energy projects and initiatives for our customers. This is a newly created position and involves an exciting breadth of responsibilities including business development, management of accounts and team leadership helping deliver our vision of improving people's lives by deploying technology-based engineering solutions. A primary focus of the Account Director is Consultancy, technology solutions, and Contracting within the Energy generation and supply markets, and to wider energy markets including renewable power and Carbon reduction initiatives. What will I be doing? Key Responsibilities Develop and grow existing client relationships to ensure repeat business To take ownership of these existing Clients and accounts, develop key account management plans, meet senior client stakeholders regularly and review service delivery levels and client relationship status’ Support new business development across the Energy account by identifying new customer organisations and developing new account plans to enhance the business Provide project lifecycle guidance and leadership from initial opportunity identification through to bidding, execution and close out Provide input to the Energy accounts and report regularly on Energy account performance Produce credible monthly revenue forecasts Work with the Heads of Departments to evaluate resource requirements and the allocation of available resources in conjunction with business needs and review project proposals/plans to determine timeframes, budget restrictions, procedures for accomplishing the project Understand the contract and commercial requirements of our project commissions and frameworks and ensure the identification of scope/project change requirements Undertake project / commission review meetings to review delivery against contracted scope, customer satisfaction and commercial contract terms and so ensure the delivery of each commissioned project against the agreed ‘as-sold’ revenue and margin targets Ensure each project / commission is executed in accordance with Company policies and procedures including relevant legislation Manage, plan and co-ordinate and prioritise where needed the parallel activities of multiple project commissions to ensure that all goals and objectives are achieved within agreed timescales and budget parameters About you Knowledge / Skills Good understanding of Energy Production and supply programme/portfolio management, project control and risk management Strong client facing and interaction skills at senior level Experience in leadership and staff development with an ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximise employee performance Demonstrable experience of embedding technology into opportunity pursuits from identification of unqualified opportunities through to opportunity qualification, leading production of bid responses and conversion to contract Results oriented with proven experience in executing projects on time and within budget In depth understanding and appreciation of core business principles and best practise Good understanding of relevant Energy market legislation Good understanding of key principles of contract management Superior written communication and interpersonal skills Strong facilitation and presentation skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Behaviours Sustains commitment to solutions, remaining alert to risks in new approaches (Safety) Demonstrates commitment to company and client standards, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and precision (Professional) Welcomes new ideas / innovations that underpin the wider business strategy (Professional) Actively works to explore the needs of clients, and strives to exceed their ongoing expectations (Integrity) Proactively helps others to find solutions to problems, and drives implementation and realisation (Integrity) Is seen as a role model for developing innovative ways of working, by displaying their commitment to client and business values (Innovation) Nurtures and develops strong, lasting relationships with both staff and clients whilst challenging continuous improvement business practises(Innovation) You are Someone with Ambition and an informed vision of the future Uk Energy market A sense of Humour! Qualifications University BEng or BSc degree in related subject preferred You may have Chartership in an energy related discipline, though this is not a pre qequisite for the role.
