My client is an established engineering firm who are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to come on board and run the end to end HR function on a 12 month maternity contract. You will be responsible for leading the HR function both strategically and operationally in all people related matters including (but not limited to):
• Employee relations
• Learning and development
• HR Strategy
• Policies and procedures
• Contract Harmonisation
You will be responsible for the maintenance of an effective HR function and be the central point of contact for all managers and employees. Reporting to the Financial Director you will be managing all recruitment, ensuring policies and procedures are fit for purpose. You will manage new starters and leavers and deliver induction training. You will be responsible for the coordination of UK and International month payrolls and also administer the Graduate and Apprentice scheme.
It is essential that you are adaptable as being the only HR person on site your day can change quickly and you will need to be comfortable not only with the operational piece but also the transactional side.

• Ideally, have worked in a standalone role.
• A strong communicator with the ability to build productive working relationships
• Demonstrable ability to deliver HR solutions and pro-active initiatives that contribute to organisational goals
• Ability to work with people in all areas of the business
• Advanced level of MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
