Seeking a patient and resilient Teacher to teach KS2 SEMH EBD group

Your new company
Hays is working with a Worcestershire based Special School. This is a 'good' school that is well resourced and has a strong team Ethic. The school support pupils with Social Emotional Mental Health (EBD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The school support Primary and Secondary aged pupils with additional needs.

Your new role
This job role will involve teaching a small class of pupils who are working at different learning levels. Therefore this job requires someone with the ability to assess learning, plan and differentiate work to ensure all pupils access an engaging bespoke programme of learning. This is a full time teaching job, due to start after October 17 and is expected to last up until Christmas, with the possibility of extending.

What you'll need to succeed
To be suitable for this role you should be an experienced Teacher with a minimum of 6 months experience of working with children or young people with emotional behavioural and social difficulties (EBSD/ BESD/ EBD) and/ or Autism. You must have a minimum of 40 days experience of working in schools ideally (Primary), centres or provisions that support EBSD/ BESD/ EBD which can be referenced. Applicants with QTS or Primary Specialism will have a significant advantage. You will be passionate about helping young people achieve the best of their potential, be thick skinned and have a good sense of humour, a team teach qualification or training in crisis prevention (PROACT SKIP/ MAPA/ TEACHH) is advantageous. Candidates without significant and recent Primary experience will not be considered.
