Temporary Litigation Secretary – Immediate Start
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
£9.00 per hour

Our client, based in Worcester town centre is looking to recruit a temporary Litigation Secretary to start immediately.

The role -

  • Audio typing of correspondence and legal documents for the Department
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Dealing with clients on the telephone and in person, taking their instructions and messages and relaying to the appropriate member of the Department
  • Liaising with other professional firms
  • Arranging office meetings and Court hearings, liaising with Barristers Chambers etc
  • Internet Research and ordering documentation (e.g. Land Registry, Royal Mail, etc.)
  • Making appointments and maintaining the diary
  • Filing, making up new files
  • Photocopying
  • Helping other fee earners and departments within the practice should the work load permit

Skills Knowledge and Experience required -

  • Audio and typewriting/word processing skills to an acceptable standard of speed and accuracy (the equivalent of at least RSA word processing Stage II Intermediate).
  • Minimum of four GCSE subjects (or equivalent), one of which must be English.
  • A minimum of two years secretarial experience preferred, legal knowledge and experience an advantage.
  • Computer Literate and able to research legal papers

General secretarial skills including -

  • Ability to organise filing and documentation
  • A pleasant and competent telephone manner
  • Maintaining diary and a knowledge of general office procedures.
