Our Client, a leading company based in Stafford are seeking a Payment Clerk to join their team on a 6 - 12 month fixed Maternity Contract

To carry out the processing of payments and ensure that all payments comply with the relevant orders.

Key Performance Indicators

Payment Processing

·Data entry of invoices onto the in house computer system in a timely and accurate manner

·Ensure all payments are covered by an official order and that details of applications accord with such orders

·Maintain reconciliation reports with suppliers

·Process in-coming post, prioritising urgent matters where appropriate

·Handle telephone enquiries concerning payments

·Maintain an accurate and efficient filing and archive system.

·Photocopying, as required.

Health and Safety

·Ensure you have read the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures observe them at all times.

·Reporting any accidents or near misses immediately to your Manager and record them in the accident book.

·Ensure your workplace is kept tidy and any hazards are eliminated or reported to your line manager.

Attends all health and safety training as required by the Company.

Education, training or qualifications

·5 GCSE’s / GCE including Maths and English

·A’ Level Maths

Relevant experience

·1 / 2 years experience working within an Accounts/Payment Clerk Role

·Good understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook

·Excellent analytical skills and organisation

·Good Maths and IT skills

·Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

·Ability to work to high degree of accuracy
