Our role is to help it build trust and confidence with customers, the environment and wider society in the vital public service of water. You will lead the small but dedicated Technology and Infrastructure function within our Operations pool – working to deliver an ICT and estates service that is customer focussed, high performing and leading edge. You will be leading the delivery of a portfolio of technology enabled changes including defining our enterprise architecture, delivering our cloud migration, new HR and payroll systems, unified communications, intranet and embedding our approach to information management. This is an exciting time to be joining Ofwat. You will be working with our new Senior Director – Business Improvement and rethinking our ICT strategy so that Ofwat can make the most of the latest digital innovations for itself and the companies it regulates. We will be launching a single Business Improvement programme during 2018 which you will help to shape, thinking through how we can get the most from business process redesign and culture change alongside ICT system and infrastructure changes. We are also procuring a strategic partner to bring in expertise and capacity to transform Ofwat’s operational services including ICT. You will play a key role working with our partner as an intelligent client to scope what needs to be looked at and manage the ICT elements of this co-source relationship. There is lots to do, at pace – and you will bring strong credentials in leading and delivering ICT and digital change within a similarly complex and customer focussed organisation. You’ll also do that as a great team player, passionate about innovating and getting the basics right – translating technical complexity into language that our people can understand – ensuring that ICT and infrastructure enables us to be the regulator we need to be now and in the future. Professional ICT qualification eg ITIL or BCS.
