Risk Management Executive - Health and Safety
Location: UK wide remit. Ideally Midlands based

The Role
Job Summary
This is a unique opportunity for anyone that has experience working in an operational health and safety predominantly with one of our key clients the Department for Education. We have seen continual growth over the past few years which makes this an opportune time to join the team.

The role sits within the Risk Management team, which is responsible for providing support to Willis Towers Watson Clients to improve the management of risk in relation to Motor Fleet, Employers Liability and Public Liability.

The Risk Management Executive will deliver H&S services to Department for Education Academies who are members of the RPA (Risk Protection Arrangement). This work requires carrying a significant number of audits and producing reports in a timely manner. The Risk Management Executive role therefore includes frequent travel throughout England (including regular overnight stays) and would ideally suit a Midlands based candidate.

Key responsibilities include:
Managing a audit programme, carrying out audits, producing reports and assisting in other services that we provide to the Department for Education (i.e. workshops, bulletins)
Looking at innovative solutions to enable us to continually improve the service we offer to the DfE.

Knowledge, skills & experience required

  • Proven track record of delivering work against challenging deadlines
  • Excellent levels of client and peer group service
  • Ideal candidates will have a mix of experience gained from an operational health and safety role, particularly in relation to auditing.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Flexible and able to respond to requests at short notices
  • Excellent IT skills (particularly with word and excel)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong skills in problem solving and planning
  • At least a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, ideally working towards the Diploma qualification.
