This role is to lead a team of ER specialists, where you will need to be credible operating with the highest levels of stakeholders and management, providing effective, timely, and detailed guidance on all areas of ER and Employment Law, within very complex and layered cases.
You will be critical in delivering a great employee relations service, via your team, within a range of key HR policies and procedures: sickness and absence | disciplinary / grievance | performance improvement | discrimination | bullying | employee conduct.
This role will also encompass managing change to challenge current practices, policies and procedures, developing current practice and policy where needed.

- Have managed a team, within a large complex commercial organisation
- Detailed up to date knowledge of employment legislation and its application within complex frameworks
- Employment tribunal and trade union experience would be an advantage
- Thorough understanding of applying HR policies and procedures within in the areas of employee conduct, sickness and absence, performance, grievance, disciplinary, investigations, dismissal
- Able to build relationships quickly, influence stakeholders and push back when required
- Highly organized, able to manage your own workload.
