Enterprise Architect Stafford, Staffordshire, United Kingdom Competitive Description We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to join the BoeingInformation Services. The successful candidate will work with customersto define and govern business and IT transformation programmes. Following defined Boeing processes and liaising with the customer andtechnical experts, the candidate will be expected to develop and governenterprise architectures and transition architectures in support oftransformation programmes Responsibilities: Working collaboratively within an integrated customer and supplierteam to deliver jointly transformed Business and IT Services Recommends/ designs structures and tools for processes, applicationsand technologies which meet business needs Delivers technical visualisation of proposed applications forapproval by customer and execution by system developers Develops and translates logical designs into outline solution designsand solution options Undertakes or supports trade studies and option evaluations, product selections Undertakes or support business case development and benefitidentification and benefit realization (including benchmarking and KPI development) Develops enterprise architectures: o Develops and maintains business architectures, in particular, processarchitectures, business reference model, capability models o Develops and maintains information architectures, in particulartaxonomies, high level information models, APIs and common message formats o Develops and maintains application architectures, in particularlogical architectures and canonical interface definitions o Develops and maintains technical architectures, in particularreference architectures an non-functional requirements includingsecurity considerations. Identifies and evaluates potential solutions, includingdemonstrating, installing and commissioning selected products Captures and develops architectures within a repository basedarchitecture modeling tool Translates client strategy into current (as-is) and future state(to-be) architectural models, and able to define meaningfultransformation roadmaps and transition states Develops strong client relationships, both business and technical, upto and including CXO level Competencies: Provides enterprise solutions to a wide range of difficult problems Develops solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, andconsistent with organization objectives Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects -failure to obtain results, reaching erroneous decisions or makingrecommendations would typically result in serious program delays andconsiderable expenditure of resources Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions Strategically and commercially astute; able to explain architecturein a strategic context to a wide variety of audiences Able to win credibility rapidly with a variety of clientstakeholders, up to and including CxO-level Qualifications Essential: Bachelors degree or Masters degree in relevant subject (ComputerScience, Engineering, Business) Experience of capability based planning of business and IT transformation Use Case and Scenario Modelling Experience of digital and mobile computing architectures Experience of selecting or implementing COTS software including ERPand best of breed packages Experience of integration heavy solutions and SOA. Demonstrable experience of working with staff at all levels includingC-level, comfortable with conducting presentations and running meetings/workshops Effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience of the following notation: Archimate 2 or 3 notation MODAF TOGAF 9 or 10 Experience in the use of repository based Enterprise Architecturemodelling tools (e.g. Troux, Sparx EA, Mega, iServer, System Architect). Experience in translating strategy into architectural roadmaps andtransition architectures in large change programmes Desirable: Experience in the Police domain would be highly desirable Masters degree or Masters degree in relevant subject (ComputerScience, Engineering, Business) Experience of defence, blue light and/or government organisations Experience in being accountable for the infrastructure and/orsecurity aspects of an enterprise-scale delivery or operation Experience with Lean Thinking, Theory of Constraints, six sigma orsimilar business improvement techniques Experience of virtualization of storage, compute and network capabilities Experience of information security and cryptography tools, techniquesand strategies Experience of DevOps and Agile development Experience of user experience design and development of personas Experience of working within a multinational matrix managementenvironment / structure and a large-scale, complex internationalorganization, but also within small teams Other job related information This posting is eligible for participation in the Employee ReferralProgramme.
