Role Profile:
The Traffic Technology Technical Trainer (Electrical) will be required to plan, administrate and deliver training and development needs within the business and ensure compliance to the business specific competency schemes (NHSS8).

Typical Deliverables:

Identify, design and develop training and development programmes and ensure training materials are up to date, relevant and comply with external requirements were necessary (HESA).
Attending HERS/NHSS8 Training and Committee Meetings to represent telent Traffic Technology.
With assistance from QEHS Manager, support HEA compliance audits in line with the scheme requirements and ensure actions against NCR's completed within 6 months of audit.
With assistance from the QEHS Manager, support annual Sector Scheme audit with Certifying Body.
Producing training and development performance reports as requested.
Support the telent CBQ/NVQ process.
Conduct internal verification audits on internal Register Approved Trainers (HESA) (where applicable).
Ensure Operatives Training records are maintained.
Support the delivery of training to Traffic Technology and other areas of the telent business where appropriate.
Support the delivery of external training courses, in compliance with the requirements of NHSS8..

Business Operations Skills - Experience:

* PC literate in Microsoft Office including Word & Excel.
* A working understanding and experience of NHSS8 and HERS
* Experience of the Highways Electrical Industry, New Roads and Street Works Act and Local Authority
* Specifications on delivery of highways technology schemes.
* An understanding and compliance with the relevant quality, environmental, health and safety legislation.
* Experience delivering electrical training (HESA).

Business Operations Skills - Qualifications:

* B/TEC Ordinary National Certificate in electronics/telecommunications engineering (or an equivalent qualification) OR 5 years experience working in Traffic Signal industry or closely related equipment/systems.
* Training qualification to deliver NHSS8 technical training.
* Approved Trainer for HESA Electrical Courses (401-403 minimum).
