A well respected residential provider who is committed to the delivery of high quality care and support for older adults are looking to recruit a SENIOR Care Assistant to work NIGHTS only a full time, permanent basis.

This is a 30 plus, GOOD rated residential service, providing 24 hour care for older adults as well as providing specialist dementia care. Set in a beautiful modern building with landscaped gardens this setting provides the highest quality care in a stylish and homely environment.

You role will be to provide SENIOR NIGHT CARE Support and your duties will include:

*To work alongside the Manager and deputy, As a Senior you will be responsible for the safe handling and dispensing of Medications.
*To provide the highest levels of personal care, ensuring that care plans are followed accordingly.
*To act as a key worker for residents (following the training manual and Care Plans)
*To comply with all relevant Health and Safety requirements, COSHH and infection control
*To be alert to a resident`s safety, physical and mental wellbeing and to report any changes to a senior member of staff.
*Update and maintain accurate resident records.
*To respect and maintain confidentiality at all times
*Be understanding and patient towards residents needs, encourage and assist residents to partake in leisure activities. Ensuring social and emotional needs are met.
*Be responsible for making and changing residents beds, tidying residents rooms (with residents permission) undertaking light cleaning duties and laundry duties and generally ensuring that the home is clean, pleasant and welcoming at all times.
*Help to serve meals and drinks at meals times and other times when required, taking care to present meals in an attractive way.
*To support and help residents who require assistance with eating and drinking.
*To be an active member of the Care Team, contribute to team meetings, Ensuring good communication and helping new team members where appropriate, to attend training and development activities.
*To undertake any other tasks as appropriate to the role

Ideally you will have:
*Previous experience and knowledge of working with older adults and those with Dementia
* Be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care and have proven experience of administering medication. This will be supported by a recent, up to date medication qualification/certificate.
*You will be flexible to work a varied shift pattern, which includes evenings, weekends and public holidays.

You will be paid £8.85ph and your hours of work will be based on an average of 35 hours a week. You will also receive continued training and development, genuine career progression opportunities and a generous annual leave allowance.
