Job Title: Communications Manager

Department: Marketing & Product Design

Accountable To: Marketing Manager

A key member of the Marketing & Product Design team committed to the ambition of becoming the best in the industry, delivering market leading products and an inspirational experience across all touch points. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager understanding the brand ambitions to develop and execute strategies to produce industry leading communications.

Overall job purpose statement:

You will be accountable for the development and execution of all business communications, including developing 'a tone of voice’ across customer, consumer & internal communications. This will improve brand awareness and market perception of the organisation. You will support continuous improvements across the Marketing & Product Design department, liaising with relevant departments and external agencies as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop tone of voice across all communication targets; customers, consumer and all key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a detailed level of technical knowledge of product,

using this knowledge to provide your creative writing input into each project

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop & execute PR plans across consumer and trade publications
  • Manage the development & integration of PR through relevant online and offline channels
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure relevant targeting through appropriate social media channels
  • Develop and manage blog content
  • Responsibility for developing and maintaining an effective online journey delivering content, search engine and social media optimisation through the website
  • Support development of internal communication strategies
  • Responsible for developing content for all customer brochures, emails and direct mail
  • Support HR department to development branding & content of staff handbooks, career literature, policies & procedures
  • Analysis & reporting of email and direct mail campaigns
  • Support co-ordination of exhibitions and new product launch events
  • You may need to carry out any other duties within the business as and when required. This list is not exhaustive and may be changed at any time to include other tasks. You may also, at times, be expected to cover for other members of the marketing team and therefore carry out some or all of the tasks set in their job description.
· Monthly activities report to the Marketing Manager
  • Marketing board reports as and when required

Budget responsibility:

Ensure marketing communications are planned and delivered within marketing budget constraints

Person Specification:

You will be an extremely talented communication expert passionate about communications in this retail industry

You will be inspired by interior designs and enthusiastic about improving our market share through innovative design and content

You will be an energetic, passionate and driven individual capable of delivering a wide range of projects at pace

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ marketing communications experience

You must be a results driven marketing communications professional with a practical "not afraid to get your hands dirty" attitude, and be capable of leading improvements and change

The role may require some travel within the UK
