Senior Support Worker
Residential & Day Provision for Ages 16-25, Mental Health, Challenging Behaviour, Autism, Stourbridge based.
Your new company
You will be working for a well established, reputable company based in Stourbridge. The residential provision houses young adults between 16-25 with very individual needs. The home specialises with individuals who have autism, challenging behaviour and mental health issues.
Your new role
As a Senior Support Worker you will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality service provided to the service users within the residential home. You will supervise and support service users in their residential setting with a range of domestic activities e.g. cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry. You will need to assist with conflicts that may arise within the household, by encouraging open discussion, supporting the expression of feelings, and thereby promote the resolution of any disagreements.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent) qualification along with experience of working with young people with learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge. You will ideally need to possess a high level of personal resilience to work within the home.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a very competitive salary, from £19,000- £22,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. There is also payment for sleep ins of £67.50, where required.
