Technical Business Analyst

For over 25 years Capita has been the UK's leading provider of services to local government, with over 8,000 staff providing a full range of back office, middle office and customer facing services. Our Public Sector Partnerships business encompasses major strategic partnerships in Birmingham, Barnet, Sheffield and Southampton.

We have an opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst to join this part of our business. This role is an integral part of an established IT software development team where you will provide analysis against core products and offer guidance to our customers. We are looking for somebody passionate about technology who can work with our customers to come up with exciting ways to drive products forward and contribute to producing software that meets and exceeds expectations.

The role is based out of our offices in Lancaster Circus however as our customer base is UK wide you may on occasion need to travel to other sites.

What we are looking for

As a Technical Business Analyst with Capita you will need to have had previous exposure to the full software development life-cycle in a technology focused environment along with the ability to provide valuable input into business and system design decisions.

Our Business Analysts pride themselves on providing an excellent service to our customer to innovate and drive our products forward. We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst who can engage with our customers and provide a first class business analysis service.

You will also have;

  • Experience preparing business requirements documentation, working with user stories, business process modelling etc.
  • Proven ability to fully define a problem and assist in solution identification.
  • Experience and understanding of the full software development life-cycle.
  • An ability to present items and hold workshops in formal/informal environments.
  • The ability to liaise with 3rd Party Suppliers and developers, both in the on and off shore.
