As an Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you provide Financial Management. The role requires a strong understanding of financial administration with the ability to lead a monthly trading cycle including journal preparation and input, invoicing, Purchase Orders, and preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include;

Processing of invoices and payments
Analysis of financial data and provision of management accounting information to business, including benefits tracking.
Processing of emergency/same day payments for suppliers
Processing of standard POs and Credit Notes and wages
Purchase Order control and administration
Ensuring adherence to the accounting rules, procedures and timescales
Resolution of purchase ledger, supplier and site queries
Involvement in monthly trading process.
Support control of bad debt report and chase any late payments
Local procurement requirements for Finance team
Raising Invoices and ILJ's for internal and external customers
Compilation of daily and weekly quicks
To undertake any other duties necessary for the effective operation of the finance department
Accuracy of weekly reporting
Ensuring all Administrative and financial requirements are complied with in a timely manner.
Completion of weekly quicks for all contracts completed on time
Accurate and timely resolution of supplier and site queries
Accurate completion of monthly trading ( P&L, Balance sheet)
Accurate and timely completion of benefits tracking monitor for project activity

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

PC literate, especially good Excel skills
Knowledge of Oracle (Finance)
Engineering/Fleet experience
Previous basic accounting experience
Accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organisational and prioritising skills
Problem solving and analytical skills
Self motivated
Good communication skills
Willingness to study in own time
Excellent Analytical skills
