Main aim of the role
Working within the maintenance function, supporting projects and modifications to plant. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of electrical, instruments and control equipment site wide.

Specific duties
• Fault finding, root cause analysis and repair of electrical process control and instrumentation systems.
• Installation of new electrical process control and instrumentation systems to current standards.
• Fault finding in electrical control and relay logic systems
• Provide maintenance breakdown cover outside normal hours on a rostered call out system (1 week in 4).
• Able to contribute towards the continual improvement of the engineering team and the business as a whole.
• Fault finding and maintenance of electrical distribution and drive systems (including 415V 3ph).
• Inspection and testing of electrical systems (industrial, hazardous area, office/domestic) in compliance with company standards and legislation.
• To work in, a safe and responsible manner complying with current regulations for industrial, domestic, and hazardous areas, respecting personal safety, the safety of others and the environment.
• To work under the control of a Permit to Work system.
• To participate in safety audits and company initiatives.

• Recognised EITB apprenticeship
• City and Guilds qualification for electrician
• IEE Regulations 17th edition
• Understanding of wiring diagrams
• Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience in an industrial environment as an Electrician or instrument technician
