Fantastic opportunity!! We are working with a leading engineering business who are looking for a skilled Production Engineer to join their growing team. This is a diverse, newly created role, that will offer opportunities of future career development and progression!

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be working within the businesses state of the art facility. The role will be project focused, working on NPI and focusing on machine tooling/ fixture setting/ programme setting etc. You will also be working closely with Team Leaders, Technical Supports and Quality Engineers acting in a trouble shooting role to support production on machining processes. You will be instrumental in driving positive changes throughout the manufacturing department, Other duties that will include:-

* Identify process improvements within the manufacturing environment and implement changes identified to improve productivity and quality.

* Support and work with R&D to ensure the effective introduction of new projects to Manufacturing.

* Create and maintain manufacturing methods, procedures and safety policies in accordance with regulatory requirements.

* Use continuous improvement techniques to effectively identify, support and lead improvement projects within manufacturing areas

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technology, production engineering best practice and health and safety requirements

THE PERSON

The ideal Production Engineer will have strong analytical skills and be able to communicate clearly effectively. Key experiences required for the role are as follows;

* Manufacturing/ Production Engineering background

* Strong experience working in a CNC/ Machining/ Precision Engineering environment

* Experience of tooling/fixture setting, machine programming

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Relevant degree/ industry qualifications desirable
