The Berry Recruitment Group is a highly respected organisation. The Group continues to expand and now operates successfully from 33 locations nationally.

We are currently looking for a payroll administrator for a large client based in Cannock. You will be working in a team of 5 and will be responsible for paying over 300 staff each week.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. You will also be expected to be on-call approx. one weekend a month. Starting salary of GBP16K per annum.

The main duties will include:-
- Manage time and attendance system, generate reports, add new starters and clear exceptions
prior to payroll run.
- To extract time sheets from time and attendance system and forward to Head Office.
- Complete final checklist to verify procedures and to ensure payroll is correct.
- To complete administrative tasks following the payroll run.
- Provide statistical reports.
- To process all statutory payments such as SMP/SP etc
- To handle requests and queries from workers and client.
- To liaise with Head Office regarding BACs rejections and missing payments.
- To work with central payroll team to complete payroll on time.,
- Manage workers holiday payments.

The ideal candidate will ideally have:-
- A concern for accuracy, quality and orderliness of work and information - including paying
attention to detail, consistently checking work.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and procedures.
- Confidence and assurance in dealing with workers, clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Great organisational skills.
- The ability to plan, prioritise, organise and review progress, effectively scheduling work
to fit in with deadlines.
- A clear personal commitment to meeting customer requirements and delivering a high quality
service.
- Goods knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel.
