Lost Property Officer
Working as part of our Security team, you will be responsible for all of the lost property left throughout the resort.
Scope of the Role:
Working with all departments it will be your responsibility to accurately record, arrange safe return or dispose of any property left at the Resort when it has not been claimed by its owner.
This role includes you working closely with all departments and with our guests so outstanding customer service skills and organizational skills are a must.
You must have an excellent telephone manner and possess strong attention to detail when handling guest enquiries.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:-To represent The Hotel and Resort in a professional manner at all times. -Understand how all hotels and departments operate and how the Security function can co-operate with them to ensure team spirit and a high level of employee satisfaction. -Manage the storage of 30 days’ of found property in accordance with current policies.-Manage highly valuable items, in conjunction with the Security Team, in accordance with current policies.-Effectively manage guest enquiries on the phone and on email to enable a quick response and satisfactory resolution. -Maintain the Lost Property email account and respond to all enquiries courteously and professionally.-Dispose of unclaimed lost property as per policy.-Work closely with the Security team, communicating any issues and assisting with any investigation required. -The job holder will also:-Observe and adhere to the companies’ policies and procedures, undergoing relevant training and development to fulfil the requirements of the Company and the post.-This job description is designed to highlight the key areas of work, objectives will be agreed.-The duties & responsibilities listed above are not intended to be exhaustive, but are set out to indicate the main areas of activity currently expected in this position.
