Internal Sales Executive

Formed over 44 years ago, Powertrain is a family owned business supporting both the Passenger Transport and Road Haulage industries. Powertrain offer an extensive range of service exchange transmissions, axles and differentials, together with a mobile service support team covering the UK.

The Position:

To further strengthen our National sales team, Powertrain Products Ltd is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to be based at our Willenhall Head Office.

You will be responsible for handling predominately inbound enquires from customers requiring Powertrain Services.

You will be required to use your planning skills to manage our National Engineers’ diary and production of Powertrain’s product in order to respond to our customers in a timely manner, according to SLA’s. 

You will need to develop and maintain long term relationships with customers to provide a high standard professional service.

You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities. You should have a focus on business profit and costs.

You should be confident with outbound calling as required.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of building rapport and selling services/products over the phone or face to face
  • Experience of managing a sales process through to completion in a consultative manner
  • Objection handling experience
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills to interact successfully with both customers and colleagues.
  • Self-confidence. with the ability to adjust to fast changing business conditions
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm
  • A good organiser with the ability to work under pressure
  • IT literacy skills must include Microsoft Office based packages, as well as the ability to learn our in-house software packages
  • Most importantly we are looking for driven individuals who have the desire and motivation to be successful
  • Previous sales experience in a technical environment would be advantageous
