You will be working for a well-established and highly respected manufacture of speciality products. This business has been growing well over the last few years and this is therefore a very exciting time to join the team.
The purpose of the Product Innovation Manager job is to creatively manage new and exciting development projects from concept generation to launch, on time and to budget ensuring that progress is communicated to all stakeholders.
You will develop and lead the innovation pipeline, understand and maintain knowledge of consumer and competitor trends, draw up detailed project briefs for approval, ensure all new products comply with relevant legislation, plan, organise and lead production trials and lead and performance manage the NPD staff, ensuring that appraisals and relevant training/development activities are undertaken (3 direct reports).
You will possess extensive experience in managing the development of new products, from concept to launch, within a food environment, covering all major aspects of the cycle, including market trends and competitor awareness, trials, ingredient/product evaluation and commissioning. You will also be degree educated in a food related discipline, be HACCP and Food Safety qualified plus also have experience of managing personnel.
The Product Innovation Manager role is based in the East Midlands region and is paying up to GBP50,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.
