Electronic Test Technician
Test Assurance/Asset Care – Electronics Test Maintenance Engineer

Role Overview:
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of fault finding down to component level, supporting maintenance and calibration of Engine simulation test rigs.
Carrying out component level investigations and diagnostics to fix bespoke test equipment

Principle Accountabilities:
• Hardware diagnosis and rectification of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering issues on electrical/electronic test rig systems, environmental test chambers and electronic component manufacturing equipment.
• Test rig planned maintenance and improvement activities.
• Introduce new techniques and procedures to minimise test rig downtime and test times.
• Understand and rectify measurement uncertainty.
• Implement long term corrections to reduce downtime
• Project implementation of test rig moves, modifications, and new installation projects.
• Support of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programmes
• Working with external contractors
• Using Maintenance Management system to store valuable diagnostic information for future issues
• Ensure the application of the appropriate techniques, such that at all levels opportunities for continuous improvement and waste elimination are identified and acted on.

Basic Qualifications Personal Characteristics
• Qualified to minimum HNC Electronics or equivalent and/or formal apprenticeship or possess relevant test engineering experience within the manufacturing industry
• Working knowledge of DOS and Windows
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical components and installation
• Good communication and IT skills.
• Ability to work on own (and part of team) to identify and drive departmental improvements.
• Enthusiastic to become multi-skilled
• Committed to continuous improvement
• A team player, capable of making an impact.
• An ambitious self starter
• Open to learn new skills and further training
