£18,000 to £19,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Maypole Grove is a specialist nurse-led home for adults with complex needs located in King’s Heath, Birmingham.

Our Home…

A purpose built home for up to 30 service users, Maypole Grove is arranged over three units; Bearwood, Hollywood and Ladywood. Every bedroom is large, light and airy and has an accessible ensuite wet room. Bedrooms can be decorated to suit personal tastes and there are TV points and WiFi in all rooms.
Working as the home Administrator, your job will be different every day. You will be critical to the smooth running of the home and you will support the management team by undertaking a wide variety of tasks.

Typically, you’ll be involved in:

• Providing a clerical and secretarial service for all activities of the home
• Maintaining staff records, assisting and co-ordinating with staff recruitment
• Collating staff working hours for payroll ensuring timely submission so staff are paid on time
• Managing petty cash, including balancing spend and requesting top ups
• Processing invoices to health and social care organisations and from suppliers; raising queries as necessary
• Maintaining resident’s monies
• Meeting and greeting visitors to the home
• Answering the telephone and re-directing calls as appropriate

About you…

In order to be effective in this role, you’ll need to have great communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to liaise with people at all levels, including staff, visitors and service users.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
You’ll have had previous administration/secretarial experience, working in a busy environment. You’ll need to be able to produce work to a high standard, so an eye for detail is an absolute must, along with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Experience of working in a care/nursing home or similar would be an advantage.
