JOB DESCRIPTION – TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

The Project Manager as a key member of the Global ERP Programme, will ensure that their respective workstream(s) a single ERP solution (‘Nexus’) is deployed across the group and, in parallel, will lead the definition, build and testing and implementation of their respective workstream(s) within the overall global solution and suite of businesses processes to manage core finance, supply chain, field service, contract and asset based transactions, in line with the new ERP solution. These processes will power the next phase of organic and acquisition based growth.

This role will involve ownership, establishing rigor and governance, whilst leading the global roll out of Nexus (within your respective and agreed workstream(s). Firstly, with the UK implementation expected to complete in 2018, following which the implementation will continue across other territories, with an emphasis on implementing Nexus into their larger markets (USA & Australia) first, followed by other countries across the globe.
The Project Manager will own and be responsible for the successful delivery of their workstream, within the overall NEXUS programme of both technology and business change/transformation, reporting to the Global ERP Delivery Director.

A key element of the PM role and workstream delivery lead, will be effective stakeholder engagement. The Project Manager will be expected to provide management, leadership, focus and direction for the implementation team / Functional SME’s assigned to your workstream(s). The Project Manager must also communicate with, and reporting to, the Group ERP Delivery Director keeping him abreast of progress, production of Weekly Status Reports, effective RAID Log and Project Plan management (key milestones and deliverables), along with any challenges that are emerging and how they will be mitigated within your workstream(s). The role is also responsible for working with all global markets, guiding and directing the country SME’s assigned to your receptive workstream(s) making sure the solution is ready to implement / roll-out within their country/locations.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Create & manage project plans (Inc key milestones, deadlines and deliverables)
Define project schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress
Align project deliverables, milestones and objectives with the company goals, and make sure project team is clear on their objectives and deliverables
Deliver and install a Global ERP Technical solution and a Global Infrastructure / standard ways of working
Effective RAID Management (Risk & Issue tracking process - identification and resolution)
Monitor and manage project scope (Inc CR Mgmt.)
Effective Mgmt. of Business / Functional SME’s assigned to your workstream(s)
Manage all Project documentation
Key Technical Skills:
• Must have Global ERP Infrastructure experience
• Must have multi-site / multi-location implementation experience
• Experience working with 3rd Parties (Global solutions - to be standardised)
• Experience of Middleware solutions & vendor Mgmt.
• Must have experience of On-Premise & Cloud based technologies
• Can produce Topology - HL & LL solution / infrastructure designs
• Effective Mgmt. of Technical environments (SIT / Smoke testing / volume/stress testing / Technical component & Integration Testing etc.)
