Position:Architectural Technician

Our client is an award winning prestigious architectural practice that has built a strong reputation within the industry and are renowned for their design and delivery on diverse portfolio of projects. With extensive industry exposure they pride themselves as a leader in design having won numerous awards for their design work.

They deliver the full architecture cycle on large scale projects from Concept Design, Master Planning, and Detailing through to Construction Administration. They have a number of high profile projects and require a Architectural Technician to join their Birmingham Studio. They are keen on candidates who have a flare for design, can work as part of a team and provide extensive technical knowledge to projects.

You will have good communication skills as there is a key requirement to liaise with internal and external stakeholder's of the business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and grow within the business. They are looking for ambitious, engaging and confident candidates who will be responsible in creating technical drawing packages for key projects, alterations and redevelopments. Our client has a strong desire for the candidate to have a good understanding of Revit. There will be an expectation to use specialist construction knowledge and high level drawing skills to design buildings. The goal of each project is to design functional, sustainable, safe and aesthetically pleasing buildings.

Skills and experience include:

- Working directly with the technical studio, but assigned to design studios for particular projects
- Resolve construction detailing, when considering design, performance and functional requirements of the project
- Liaise with Design team to coordinate and resolve building elements, work packages and construction issues
- Lead and assist design process
- Work with and assist tech assistants
- Software efficiency in: MicroStation, PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Micorsoft, AutoCAD and Revit
