Job Role:
Taylor Woodrow are looking to recruit a Safety Advisor to join their team delivering Junctions 2-4 of the M6 SMART Motorway. Reporting to the project safety lead, the safety advisor will be responsible for advising on all aspects of safety across the project.
Duties:
Initiate and maintain positive measures to raise standards;
• Ensure the company and project complies with OHSAS 18001 obligations, all health & safety legislation, the requirements of the construction phase plan (CPP) and all minimum health & safety standards (MSS);
• Support the monitoring of sites through the audit process
• Ensure effective investigations take place to prevent accidents and incidents
• Carry out site inductions
• Support the Health and Safety Manager in providing safety training to all site staff
• Ensuring all site safety records are maintained and up to date
Person Specification
• NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction Certificate NVQ L3 is essential
• Membership of IOSH at Tech level or an Affiliate of MIIRSM.
• Previous experience in a similar safety role within a civils or construction environment
• Highways experience is beneficial but not essential
