An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to join an Award Winning Team at Silver Birches in Chelmsley Wood working 20 hours a week.

Silver Birches is a residential care home in Chelmsley Wood, caring for frail, elderly adults and those with dementia. When support is needed, you will be on hand to meet individual needs, whether they are physical, emotional, cultural or psychological.

As a Senior Care Assistant working night shifts, you will line manage a number of Care Assistants and in doing so, lead by example, motivate and inspire.

You will play a key role in supporting the service users with all aspects of personal care, meals, evening routines etc. and respect the rights and choices of the individuals. To do this, you must be honest, reliable and trustworthy.

Working throughout the night, you will be key to ensuring the shift runs smoothly. You should be able to act accordingly should an emergency arise and deal with any challenges that are presented to you. You will ensure that you provide care and support as identified in individual care plans and in turn accurately keep records.
