Position Description:
Current Model Quality Engineer. The Electrical Quality team are responsible for delivering the targets set by the business for EE Quality, in our drive to achieve world class performance levels. The team operate in an exciting, dynamic environment progressing the resolution of quality issues effecting customers in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining the required level of engagement from core CoC teams to resolve Red Flag Technical Assist cases. Identifying areas for improvement to reduce the time of Red Flag TA case resolution. Report latest status of all Red Flags during weekly escalation conference call. Maintaining the required level of engagement from core CoC teams to resolve Concern Monitoring Team (CMT) cases. Represent EE Quality team in Market Champion monthly reviews, including compiling latest status pack & gaining CoC support where required. Maintaining the required level of engagement from core CoC teams to resolve Quicker Service Fix (QSF) cases. Assigning Critical Concerns to the correct functional area and track to closure.

Knowledge of automotive electrical systems (JLR experience a distinct advantage).
Be able to interpret vehicle data output files (session files, CAN logs etc).
Familiar with tools and techniques to ensure robust problem resolution i.e. Six Sigma.

Experience Required:
Previous experience of working in the automotive industry or for an automotive supplier.
Complete understanding of customer quality data.

Experience Preferred:
Retailer experience of dealing with customer field failures first hand.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified.
Qualified to degree level in an Engineering discipline, or Master Technician status.
Project management.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel & Powerpoint.

Additional Information:
Role would be suitable for an Engineer with experience in Electrical Quality (OEM or Supplier), a JLR Retailer Master Technician, Retailer staff with strong Electrical technical understanding. Role likely to include vehicle data gathering from JLR retailers to assist in problem definition of customer quality issues. Typically CAN logs and experiencing customer issues first hand
