Job and Assignment Summary
To be responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of the grounds and gardens. To ensure that the gardens and grounds at all times are maintained in a good presentational order.
?? To water and feed all border plants, tubs and shrubs on a regular basis to ensure healthy and vigorous plants.
?? To cut lawn and bed edges at least every 8 days during the months of March to November and at least four times during the winter months
?? To tidy all tubs and add bedding plants as directed
?? To apply moss and week killer as directed by The Facilities Manager
?? To keep all flowerbeds, rose borders and cultivated plants weed free and clean.
?? To keep all ponds, water features, paths, patios, drives and forecourts and roads etc weed free and clean. All areas to be regularly swept /tidied
?? To trim hedges and shrubs as required
?? To rake up leaves in the winter period.
?? To prune and thin plants roses, shrubs and small trees mainly in the winter period.
?? To establish compost areas
?? As directed to plant additional bedding plants, bulbs and shrubs
?? To maintain a garden log book
?? To maintain confidentiality of owners, families, staff
?? To adhere to and maintain all written records and other information as required in accordance with Audley Court operating policies, Electricity at Work Act 1974, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH 1988 and any other legislative requirements.
?? To demonstrate an awareness and commitment to Audley Court's equal opportunities policy
?? To participate in a work rota including some weekends as required and as agreed.
?? To maintain a high standard of presentation
?? To report any faulty or damaged equipment or machinery to the person in charge
?? To participate in any theme events/open days for owners
?? To participate in stock taking as required.
?? To use the correct equipment/appliances/tools as instructed by the manufacturers.
?? To report to the General Manager any information that may be detrimental to the development and or the company
?? To act in such a manner as to promote and enhance the welfare of owners, other employees and Audley Court, ensuring that by no act or omission results in Audley Court being brought into disrepute.
?? To maintain at all times a professional relationship with owners and/or their next of kin/representative and to maintain this relationship within professional boundaries.
?? To attend training, supervision and assessment programs
?? To communicate any identified risk or potential risks to the Facilities Manager. Furthermore to report any incident, accident or untoward occurrence. To be aware of the importance of not placing others or yourself at risk.
?? To wear the correct company uniform at all times and to ensure that it is clean, well pressed and in good repair
