Salary: Competitive, DOE
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager to join our Cannock site.

The MGS division supply medical gases and devices to healthcare professionals and the emergency services.

Job Summary/Purpose of position:
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the site, all staff based at Cannock and all production requirements.

Job Outline:

Key Responsibilities:

• HS compliance.
• Regulatory compliance.
• Employee engagement.
• Recruitment and staff management.
• Welfare of staff, contractors and visitors to site.
• Site procurement of stock and consumable inventory.
• Any other tasks as may arise in conjunction with responsibility for site activities including infrastructure or personnel.

Key Tasks:

• Undertaking staff 1-2-1 quarterly reviews,
• Undertaking safety briefings
• To ensure all staff are complying with Health and Safety policies
• Responsibility for ensuring customer production requirements are achieved within the correct timescales and all documentation is completed in full compliance with the procedures and quality standards as defined by the company quality system
• Identifying any production related problems, determine priorities and pursue opportunities to improve operational performance
• Managing and controlling the activities of a small team of team leaders and production operators
• Ensuring staffing levels are correct and coordinate absences and holidays
• Highlight any maintenance required and ensure all equipment is repaired/serviced at the correct intervals to ensure it is functioning within its calibration period
• Liaise with the Management team
• Liaise with members of management team as necessary
• To manage the training records of all personnel in Production and Assembly operations
• Managing information or general administration support of all necessary aspects affecting the role.
• To maintain quality control of Assembly & Production Operations

Person Specification

Essential skills required:

• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety
• Knowledge of working to Health & Safety and employment law good practice
• Computer literate, including competence in Outlook, Word & Excel
• Able to schedule multiple tasks effectively
• Able to demonstrate numeracy and literacy skills
• Able to demonstrate effective communication with customers and colleagues at all levels
• Able to show effective management of people and problems
• Professional and conducts themselves with integrity and honesty at all times
• Prepared to work flexibly to accommodate seasonal influences

Skills desired:

• Knowledge in the storage of dangerous goods
• Experience of CODAS or similar operating system
• Hold a recognised certificate in either IOSH or NEBOSH
