We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join a reputable, well known and highly regarded Legal Firm in Worcestershire.

Reporting to The Board, as HR Manager you will be the first point of contact for Partners and Business Managers, providing professional HR advice and support across the organisation.

You will be supporting the Head of Legal & HR to deliver a comprehensive and efficient HR service and will be a motivated manager with a ‘can do’ attitude, who takes responsibility whilst using their initiative. An individual who possesses good people and communication skills and is passionate about all aspects of the role they perform.

Key Responsibilities…

Organisation Design, Development & Culture

* Alignment of HR to the organisational strategy
* Promoting values and behaviours to facilitate change and organisational success.
* Identifying succession planning routes/opportunities
* Creating an environment of progress and performance

Recruitment and Retention activity

* Overseeing the on-boarding of new starters and apprentices though their career journey
* Recruitment and retention of the best talent
* Ensuring continuous improvement and encouraging staff to achieve their potential
* Co-ordinating training opportunities and programmes as required

Employee relations and People Management

* Managing and administering payroll as well as other employee benefits
* Offering advice and training on HR issues
* Responding to employees, providing support and guidance
* Developing, implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and processes
* Ensuring complete confidentiality at all time and statistics are accurately kept and securely maintained.

Person Specification

* Proven HR experience, ideally from a generalist background
* Experience of managing a team
* Will have a sound academic record (at least to A-level, or equivalent level)
* CIPD part or fully qualified is desirable
* Must be trustworthy and understand the need for 100% confidentiality
* Will be self-motivated and conscientious with excellent written skills and exemplary attention to detail
* Diplomacy and good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well within teams
* Must be able to work well with people at all levels within the business
* Hardworking, able to work well on own initiative and be able to work under pressure.

In return for all the above you will be rewarded with a full time, permanent position, Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, within a forward thinking practice with an excellent reputation and a very competitive salary of up to £40,000.
