Business Development Manager

Location: Fenny Compton, Warwickshire CV47 2FE

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000/annum, plus commission and bonus

About the company:

Our client is an award winning provider CPCS, CSCS, NPORS and CITB Accredited training and testing. All other types of H & S training provided also. Many courses funded via CITB Levy schemes or Government funding initiatives. Focusing on ensuring their product offering is highly competitive.

They are currently recruiting for a new Business Development Manager who will be responsible for the growth of the our client, through their performance against sales targets set in line with the budget.

Duties of the Business Development Manager:

  • Interfaces between customers and other functions within the organisation to provide service to new and developing customers
  • Ensures that responses to customer enquiries are completed in a timely basis to achieve service and quality standards
  • Informs customers of new product/technologies and services
  • Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to generate a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
  • Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the organisation's and competitors' products and/or services
  • Specifically responsible for developing new business from new accounts
  • Manages performance through key performance indicators
  • Develops strategic plans for the Export business development and responsible for achieving profitable growth in line with the business objective
  • Responsible for achieving sales and order intake, as well as budgets and forecasts

Requirements of the Business Development Manager:

  • Previous Business Development experience
  • GCSE’s or equivalent (C or higher) in Maths, English, Science and other relevant technologies (Business, IT)
  • Ability to create, monitor and revise lead generation plans
  • Market and competitor knowledge
  • A level or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Construction knowledge (Desirable)
  • Previous experience working in the training industry (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of CPCS, CSCS and NVQ’s (Desirable)
