The Role:

As a Cloud Support Engineer on this team, you will be a key contributor to product development activities for our team. The current team is looking to develop services, tools, and processes to support all teams as well as deliver solutions to our customers. The Cloud Support Engineer will work in a fast paced and exciting environment.

What you’ll bring to the table:

* Execute the day-to-day deliverables of the Cloud Engineering team in the build out the cloud platform.
* Meet scalability, availability, security, and performance goals.
* Implement, upgrade and support core services used by cloud solution.
* Investigate and experiment with key technologies, architectures, and standards.
* Supporting the cloud strategy using your experience and keeping abreast of the latest developments in this area.
* Collaborate with all stakeholders on a project from highly technical to non-technical resources to ensure a common level of understanding of the solutions and processes.
* Attend meetings, collaborate with your peers, prioritise features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to our internal and external customers.
* Produce well-structured documentation and education relating to the implementations for the development and operational teams.

The Individual:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Effective planning, administration and time management skills.
* Broad systems and infrastructure knowledge.
* Proficient in Windows Server, SQL Server technologies.
* 5 years previous experience supporting production solutions.
* Experience working in a team that has delivered hybrid cloud capability.
* Knowledge of AWS environments, deployment, management and incident diagnosis.
* Solid comprehension of on-premise cloud deployments particularly around virtualisation and software defined networking.
* Interest in contributing to continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), AWS/Azure public cloud services; this role offers hands-on experience working with production cloud computing services.
