Maintenance Engineer - (Electrical/Mechanical)



Salary £28,000 - £30,000 Depending On Skils & Experience

TM Resourcing's (Technical & Engineering) Division are currently recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) on behalf of a well-established Engineering Company in the Birmingham area :-

Main points we are looking for are:

Electrically / Mechanical Engineer.

Experience in a fast paced production environment.

Experience working with :

Manual Power presses.

Progression Presses.

Ranging from 40 T - 700 T.


Able to work in a team or under own initiative.

Cooperative and flexible.


To support the maintenance supervisor in the discharge of his duties in accordance with the aims and objectives of the business and the need to ensure optimum performance of all plant, all types of equipment, services and buildings to this end

To at all times observe Health & Safety Legislation and Company requirements for the specific job in hand. Ensure the correct PPE is worn and the equipment used in the discharge of your duties is checked for fitness for purpose and suitability for the task on which it is to be used.

Conduct your work in accordance with the risk assessment for that task and ensure that colleagues and those in the immediate vicinity are aware of the work being done and the dangers associated with it. Ensure the operational safety of all plant, equipment, services and premises by ensuring the implementation of periodic safety checks either Company inspired or legally prescribed. To work within the operational TPM System.

To ensure that all work conducted is in accordance with the cost and timescale stipulated and that deviations, of whatever nature, are reported and recorded. To ensure the area in which you conduct your work is left in a clean, tidy condition and all loose materials/tools etc. are cleared away before normal working is permitted to be resumed in the area and to 'sign off' the job as confirmation of this.

During your work to always observe legally enforceable Health & Safety Legislation e.g PUWER, COSHH, Working at Height Regs etc.

To ensure you maintain full and detailed information of specific work conducted within the Maintenance IT system either on completion or, as work progresses.

Job Qualifications

City & Guilds or Equivellent NVQ in Either Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Ideally Apprentice Trained or Time Served

O/H Crane, Pendant Operation - ideal not essential

Computer literate

Good problem solving ability and an analytical approach

Able to work without close supervision

Good communication ability, both verbal and written

They are looking for 2 Maintenance Engineers - 1 Mechanical and 1 Electrical

This is a Full Time Permanent Position Working Days
