The Position:

Our client is seeking a talented Settlement Analyst to work in their Warwick office, responsible for interpreting electricity settlement information from multiple sources to guarantee that their electricity consuming and generating customers are settled correctly.

Working with customers, metering agents and internal and external stakeholders you will identify and take appropriate actions to ensure that data accuracy and integrity is maintained throughout the settlement process.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with internal and external parties, including National Grid, Distribution Network Operators, Ofgem and third-party service providers, to ensure that the business operates efficiently in the GB electricity market
  • Work with third party service providers to ensure a seamless interaction between the company and the company’s Customers and the service providers
  • Perform root cause analysis of data exceptions and liaison with key stakeholders to inhibit future recurrence
  • Customer onboarding - oversee the registration and set up of Customers in both industry and company internal systems
  • Monthly settlement analysis and reporting

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A working knowledge and understanding of electricity data flows and how the GB electricity Market operates, including Registrations & Billing
  • Strong relationship management (internal and external) and organisational skills, able to work on multiple queries in tandem
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate complex matters in clear and simple language and influence others
  • The ability to analyse and interpret large data sets using MS Excel

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Ideally (but not essential) a University degree in a related field (business, environmental, natural sciences, business)
  • Working knowledge of CRM database configuration and operation
  • Problem-solving and a can-do attitude, coupled with a high level of resilience and tenacity
  • Full clean driver’s licence
