Job Title: Project Manager (Field Based)

Department: Operations

Location: Reporting to Head Office, Darwen, Lancashire on a weekly basis.

Reporting to: Senior Management including Directors

Primarily responsible for: Primarily Midlands and surrounding areas, as required.

The Company

ASPRAY are a national property damage reinstatement management company, who’s national network of project managing and loss assessors manage property damage insurance claims throughout the UK.

The project manager will be employed by head office to take responsibility for performing the role of Loss Assessor and Project Manager for property damage insurance claims whilst also introducing the service to local business owners and potential introducers, via networking meetings.

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager plays a central role in managing property damage insurance claims for policy holders within the areas specified, and in other areas where required, as per the needs of the business, therefore extensive travel is likely.

Reporting to senior management and directors, this position has primary responsibility for project managing the end to end settlement negotiations and reinstatement process of property damage insurance claims. Conducting surveys on properties, recruiting and managing a contractor network (under strict rules), project managing reinstatement works and developing key relationships in order to help the sales department secure new or repeat business.

A highly enthusiastic, analytical, but outgoing personality is essential to this role as is the ability to manage multiple claims. You must have excellent communication skills, strong negation skills and the ability to influence others. A background within the construction industry is also important, as the ability to scope damage is crucial.

Accountabilities

Recruit, vet and project manage contractors, agreeing rates, issuing scopes of work, agreeing response times and setting service and performance standards.

Conduct site surveys on properties; scoping our repairs and translating the information into schedules using company software

Monitor and track performance of contractors; creating and maintaining appropriate systems and records for measuring all aspects of their performance.

Maintain at all times a high level of customer service ensuring the customer is aware progress with their claim

Networking at business events, to increase claims introducer numbers throughout the territory. Visiting and registering potential introducers, such as letting agents, contractors, and increasing claims referral numbers.

Budgetary control for the above areas, and continual analysis of income and expenditure relating to these budgets.

Operating a CRM system effectively and creating required reports.

Attend meetings with Loss Adjusters to negotiate successful insurance claims and communicate directly with Insurance Companies.

Chasing insurers and loss adjusters for payments, where required.

Liaising with the marketing department to increase the awareness in the region of the Aspray Service to the customer market.

Business reporting to relevant internal and external parties (such as head of compliance and claims manager internally). Meeting set turnover and profitability targets.

Continuing CPD – Through Broker assess, and attending all compulsory training courses and improving working knowledge by self-motivated further study.

Any other duties deemed suitable for the level of this employed position which may include attending networking events or other business meetings outside of normal working hours from time to time.

Travel to other areas of the UK and or occasional overnight stays may be required from time to time.

Attending weekly meetings at head office.

Skills and Experience required. The ideal candidate will have:

Background in construction and or loss/damage assessing and scoping

Good Analytical Skills

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Time management and man management skills

Able to continually demonstrate the ability to meet targets and project manage complex situations

Influential skills

Good working knowledge of word and excel

Good personal presentation skills

Solution orientated “can do” attitude to all tasks

Be very well presented

The project manager will be required to ensure compliance with Data Protection Act 1998 and all company policies such as TCF and Money Laundering and as per the company’s operations manual.

Annual Leave 28 days per annum (includes Bank Holidays).

Normal hours of work: 9.00am to 5.30pm Mon to Fri (or as the business needs require in order to attend appointments, with policyholders who have a claims and need an out of hours appointment, or other events).

Probationary Period: 6 months.

Package negotiable which will include basic salary, company car, mobile and laptop, and commission based on meeting profitability and turnover targets.
