Your new company

Due to the new partnership between Birmingham City Council and Hays, we are now looking to recruit x12 Customer Service Advisors to work in our Birmingham City Centre office. Your new role

As a Customer Service Advisor you will be working in our busy offices in the Rents department. This role is to start 8th May with hours from 9 - 5, 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Your role will entail taking in a high volume of calls in a team which handles internal and external based queries predominantly by phone. The ideal candidate will be required to deal with calls regarding rent, rent arrears and customer accounts. You may also be dealing with arranging payments, reviewing invoices, complaint handling and occasionally escalating missed payments to the correct team. Your position will involve using computer based systems for logging the incoming calls, ensuring that reference numbers are given, and that you are the able to give wrap around support from the first point of contact to end of call. This will be a call centre environment where you will be at your desk for a majority of the day. You will receive 3 weeks paid training to ensure that you are fully competent with the systems used and how to take and log phone calls on the platform correctly.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate should have strong customer service skills and have confidence working on their own. Candidates from call centre/contact centre or telesales environment will benefit from the nature of this role as you will be familiar with hitting targets and a fast paced environment. Candidates of a reliable and efficient work ethic will be highly considered as this is a temporary vacancy which runs for 3 months until the end of August therefore you will be required to commit to the whole duration of the role with NO holiday booked.
