What you will do
We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our Major Project Group (MPG). This area of the business looks after large construction projects across the UK and aims to deliver on key projects for key clients.

This is a key role within MPG and ideally we are looking for commissioning engineers within the Utilities environment to join our team to install and commission intruder, access control, CCTV and fire alarm systems for our exciting range utilities customers.

How you will do it
You will provide excellent Customer Service to meet the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.
Install and commission the appropriate devices; dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required by the customer whilst working safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.
You will plan the efficient use of own or sub-contractor labour, taking into account the proximity, the skills of the sub-contractor, and the timing of the installation.
Commission, with assistance as required, the systems being managed and liaise with the system designers to resolve technical issues which may impact on programme completion.
Ensure the installation or modification meets customer, health and safety and statutory requirements.
Correctly complete Engineer work reports, handover certificates/BSIA Certificates or checklist as appropriate.

What we look for
Time served within a technical environment such as fire and security.
Must possess sound electrical knowledge and have proven background through recognised apprenticeship or hold similar qualification.
Knowledge of the British Standard BS4737 (Intruder) or BS5839 (Fire).
Hold a full clean driving licence.
Ability to lift, carry and climb ladders. To carry equipment, i.e.; cameras etc. up and down ladders ensuring conformance to health and safety requirements. Ability to use power tools to repair and / or dismantle equipment.
Geographical area of responsibility with occasional travel across areas and the UK.
