Optima Professional Services are currently recruiting for an Temporary Interim Management Accountant to join a global business based in Rugby. This is an exciting commercial role that is 70% business partnering and working with people at all levels. Based at the firms UK head office this role is commutable distance from Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. The business is the market leader within its field, they are an industry innovator and operate on a global basis.
Reporting to the UK Business Controller, the Interim Management Accountant will be responsible for producing the monthly management accounts for 30% of the UK business, financial reporting of ongoing projects, business partnering the UK project team and supporting with budget and forecasting.
The role is much more than just being the Interim Management Accountant, 70% of your time will be spent business partnering the UK projects team driving the financial performance of projects. You will guide project managers driving costs, forecasting and reporting of the projects. At any one time you may be dealing with four to six projects each worth several million pounds.
To be considered for this role, you will need to come from a management accounting or reporting background. You will have experience of working in a busy environment and will have the ability to develop relationships at all levels. You will need to be an excellent communicator, strong problem solving and leadership skills, attention to detail, self-motivated and experience heading up finance functions on an interim basis.
Knowledge of SAP needed and previous experience in a similar role, qualified in either CIMA or ACCA would be advantageous.
